A little translation help?

Hey y'all,

Yes I am indeed here and I'll be back to posting soon. The jetlag kicked my ass for a good week and I've been running between offices with forms and photocopies, so I've been feeling a little uninspired in the blog department. But on to practical things:

How do you say "Sorry, wrong number?" in Slovenian? I've got the "sorry" and the "number" part of the equation, but I'm having a little bit of trouble putting it together.

Some old dude keeps calling, wondering if this is Spar. He's got the general geographic coordinates right, but I can't quite seem to transfer his call to the grocery department.

Bah... just tell him this IS Spar... maybe he just needs someone to talk.
Or he just wishes to kill you for the prices. Who knows.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH, i love this!!!!!!!! Of all the things - Spar? :DDDDDDD anywayz, yes, "oprostite, napačna številka" is the right thing to say, although you might consider saying something like "jebi se, stari", "dej, odjebi že", "pober se", "počas te mam že dost" and the like. and of course, with whatever you say, you need to remember to top it off with "ajde, stari". :D

Lol!

@Camille: thanks for the suggestion! I had forgotten that site, but it's good for random phrases.

@Disablez: You're right, he did seem to want to chat! We had quite a good discussion...me forgetting everything I've ever learned and repeating stupidly "Hello? Who do you want to talk to?" and him asking for Spar, in every different way he could think of. After a few more minutes of him going "Heh?" and me going "Huh?", I was really starting to warm up to my new conversation partner.

But you're right, he may have been calling to complain about prices for all I know. If you think he's mad now, wait til he sees my dumpster...I mean bread storage bin.

@Iva: This from the girl who almost fainted when I used a Serbian swear word once! My babica would give me a right belt on the ear if I said any of those things!!!! :D

Ajde!

Seems like your Slovenian ain't so bad after all! :D I never translated those popular&catchy phrases. :D Anyway, tell your grandma that this is just how we roll here. (the word selection might be due to the fact that i'm going to a party with THE 50 cent this sunday, bi*ch! :P) but the thing is you gotta use the swear words with care and consideration: yelling on a random dude who doesn't know what number he's calling YES, trying to impress my newly acquired friends with the disclosure of my favorite swear word NO NO. :D

oh and PS: somebody's been doing homework with cathing up on our domestic politics :D

Hehehe. I do seem to have remarkable recall for the naughtier expressions I learn.

I'm looking forward to hearing about Sunday. Are you going to teach Fiddy how Slovenians roll? I think he'd be shocked! The poor man comes all this way and just wants to settle in with a cup of warm milk, and here comes Iva to learn him some new expressions! ;D

Ya, for sure! First of all - what will be in that milk?! He needs to know true Slovenians never drink something WITHOUT a twist of alcohol (maybe only when they're toddlers). Furthermore, I need to show him some dance moves - I'm sure after Martinovo party at VinaKoper Jay knows those moves are the shit. Last but not least - yoddling has always been my cup of tea. Or bread and butter. (I love learning useful expressions by heart.)
